1
Download from 3dsky
Browse 3dsky exactly as you already do and download the model you want to use. There is no need to change your workflow, naming rules, or download settings.
You can download models with or without thumbnails, Bounc is built to handle both cases automatically.
2
Seamless file import
Once downloaded, drag and drop the downloaded files into Bounc and let the software do the work for you.
The software instantly analyzes the package, detects all relevant data, and organizes the asset using a clean, consistent structure based on 3dsky standards.
Files are sorted, information is stored, and missing thumbnails are automatically retrieved. No manual cleanup, no renaming, no folder management required.
3
Drop into 3ds Max
When you’re ready to work, simply drag and drop a model from Bounc into your 3ds Max viewport.
Bounc automatically detects your renderer preference and selects the most appropriate model version available, prioritizing the latest version or a specific suffix defined in your settings.
The model is merged into your scene ready to work, without extra steps or manual checks.
4
Always ready
From this point on, everything stays organized automatically.
As your library grows, Bounc keeps every asset consistent, predictable, and easy to reuse. Without maintenance, rules, or manual intervention.
Just download, import, and create. Your library takes care of itself.
• IMPORTING MODELS
Flexible import options
Bounc offers multiple ways to import models so you can work the way you prefer. Whether you use built-in tools, drag files into the app, or manage folders directly, the software adapts to your workflow.
Imported models can use either the original 3dsky hash or the model title as file names. If a title is used, Bounc automatically renames the files back to the hash while displaying the model inside the software using its original title.
You can import models using File > Import Assets, selecting either archives only or archives with thumbnails. This method is ideal when you want full control over what is being imported and prefer a traditional file selection workflow.
Bounc will process the files, detect available information, and organize the model automatically once the import is complete.
1
Simply drag and drop archives or archives with thumbnails directly into the Bounc window. This is the fastest and most intuitive way to import models.
The software immediately detects the files, processes the data, and places the model in the correct structure without any extra steps.
2
You can place archives or archives with thumbnails inside the _import folder, located in the models directory set in Preferences.
This should be done before opening Bounc. If files are added while the software is already running, you can use Refresh Library to detect and process the new models.
3
For non-3dsky models, place the extracted model folder together with its thumbnail directly inside the desired subcategory folder. This tells Bounc exactly how the asset should be categorized.
This method is available only on the Full plan and is ideal for importing external libraries with precise categorization, without any manual setup inside the software.
4
This option is available only for non-3dsky models, since 3dsky assets always use the data defined on their original platform.
After importing the model using any standard method, you can edit its information in the right panel. Bounc will then automatically move the asset to the correct folder when needed, keeping the library organized.
5
Use File > Refresh Library when models are moved into the library folders while the software is already open. This forces Bounc to rescan the folders and process any newly added assets.
This action also resets models that were previously skipped during online data lookup, allowing Bounc to ask again if you want to fetch their information. Models that are already configured remain unchanged.
6
Simply drag and drop a model from Bounc into the 3ds Max viewport to merge it into your scene.
Bounc automatically selects the best max file available, using the most recent version, the renderer defined in Preferences based in keywords in file names or the latest saved file. You can also define a custom suffix that takes priority, ensuring manually edited models are always imported correctly.
